Thunder Player No. 3) Aaron Wiggins

Last but certainly not least, we have the man who save basketball himself, Aaron Wiggins.

Deemed by Bleacher Report's Dan Favale as arguably the "most underrated player" in the NBA, there are a ton of reasons why the wing should be kept far away from any possible trade negotiations this summer.

For starters, he's proven himself to be a highly efficient 3-and-D contributor despite being an incredibly low-usage player.

While this narrative may not be all that impressive on the surface, considering the Thunder roster has a bevy of players at the same or similar position already ahead of him on the depth chart, having someone who can step in at a moment's notice and get right into a groove in 12 to 15 minutes-per-game averages is incredibly valuable.

A highly versatile player, Wiggins has the capability of splashing home a deep trey (converted on 49.2 percent of his shots from distance last season) just a easily as he can finish at and around the rim where he shot roughly 70 percent.

Through 78 games played last season, Wiggins dropped solid per-game averages of 6.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.1 assists on an electrifying 56.2 percent shooting from the floor.

From his ball-handling skills and clean shooting stroke to his sound defensive chops and off-ball abilities (83 percent of his made buckets came off assists in 2023-24), the 25-year-old has established himself as a vital component to this championship-driven Thunder rotation, and, following his agreement to a new cost-efficient five-year, $45 million deal to stay with the franchise, it would be woefully unwise to part ways with him, even if it would be for a star player of Markkanen's ilk.
