Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: Just right

2K25 Rating: 97

With these ratings as currently constructed, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is tied for the second-highest grade in the entire game, along with fellow all-world talents in Joel Embiid, Luka Doncic, and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The only person ranked 98 or above: Nikola Jokic.

With how things played out last season in the MVP race between him and the Oklahoma City stud, any other such turnout with these ratings would have been absolutely sacrilegious.

Leading the charge for the 57-win and top-seeded Thunder, Gilgeous-Alexander went on to further establish himself as one of the best two-way players in the game, as he became just the seventh player in NBA history to record at least 30.0 points, 6.0 assists, and 2.0 steals on a nightly basis and led the league in steals, finished second in deflections, and sported an incredible 56.7 effective field goal percentage.

To make his season even more impressive, as far as his advanced metrics are concerned, the 26-year-old finished with the fourth-best cumulative plus-minus, net rating, and player impact estimate among starters in the association.

Add all this to the fact that many believe he was snubbed from taking home the coveted Michael Jordan trophy last season and having SGA fall any lower than second overall on these 2K ratings could have resulted in Thunder fans marching out to the company's headquarters in Novato, California with torches and pitch forks.
