Danilo Gallinari
Despite already addressing their frontcourt rotation with the signing of Isaiah Hartenstein back on the second day of free agency, the Thunder could still benefit from bringing on some more size to fill out their depth.
On top of this, they could also stand to use a natural power forward -- something they genuinely don't have in their possession -- who has a proven track record of aiding toward winning at the NBA level.
Danilo Gallinari checks all of these boxes, and, interestingly enough, he has already shown his worth to the Thunder franchise back during his one-year tenure in 2019-20.
At this point in his career, no one should be viewing the 35-year-old as a game-changing commodity who can step into a prominent role for a contender at a moment's notice.
However, even during his rather pedestrian 2023-24 campaign, one where he suited up for three separate organizations, Gallinari still proved capable of contributing in small doses.
Particularly during his stint with the Detroit Pistons earlier in the year, the veteran managed to display flashes of still being capable of providing solid contributions on the offensive end, as he finished out his stay in Motor City with averages of 8.7 points per game on 54.5 percent shooting and 58.3 percent shooting from distance.
Tabbed in a previous piece as a "break glass in case of emergency" type of player the team could acquire, especially after the recent retirement of Mike Muscala, there are far worse options to choose from to flesh out the roster than a 6-foot-10 combo forward with 17 years of NBA experience and familiarity with the Loud City area on his resume.
