1. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

He finished top five in NBA voting last season and has an outside chance to win in 2024. SGA has blossomed into an elite scorer and defender who can do a bit of everything on the floor. The two-time All-Star is still waiting for his standout postseason moment, but the time is here. Gilgeous-Alexander could cement himself as one of the five best players in the world if he lifts the Thunder on a deep playoff run.

The 25-year-old is second in points scored and third in points per game. He is one of three players netting over 30 every night, and MVP honors are in his future. Take on a matchup against SGA at your own risk. The 6’6 wing is an absolute bucket and is leading the league in steals per game. His two-way impact puts him in the running for top player, but Gilgeous-Alexander may have to wait a few years to take over.

The Thunder were not trading SGA since they acquired him in 2019, but backing up his superstar breakout of 2023 has cemented him as an elite player. Will OKC have the best player on the floor in any playoff series? Gilgeous-Alexander gives them hope, but he must rise to the occasion to get there.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are loaded with young talent and difficult decisions are right around the corner. They are not trading SGA, Chet Holmgren, or Jalen Williams, but a roster upgrade should come this summer. Be sure to catch all the most memorable moments as the Thunder hope to build a championship contender. It won’t always be pretty but have faith in Sam Presti to figure everything out.
