The Oklahoma City Thunder pulled off a historic win against the Dallas Mavericks. It started as a sloppy game for the Thunder, then quickly turned into a blowout contest in favor of Oklahoma City until Dallas pulled off a 30-0 run.
Teams rarely survive being on the wrong end of a massive run like that; in fact, 30-0 was the first of its kind, but somehow, despite being down six late, the OKC Thunder pulled out a win in Dallas.
The Mavericks and Thunder exchanged the lead five times while being tied twice. Luka Doncic, in his first game back as a father, dropped 36 points, dishing out 18 assists, and hauling in 15 rebounds per game.
Relieve the OKC Thunder surviving in Dallas with the NBA reacting to the electric win despite allowing a 30-0 run.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander turned in 17 points, but racked up a jaw-dropping five steals, and handed out nine assists in this contest.
Chet Holmgren was key down the stretch, posting three blocks and four points in the final four minutes. Holmgren finished with an eye-popping four blocks, a steal, 11 rebounds, and 11 points.
The three-headed trio included 23 points from Jalen Williams who hit the go-ahead lay up around Mavs big man Dereck Lively II (who had seven blocks in this contest) Williams finished with five assists, as many rebounds, and a steal.
The OKC Thunder fanbase is still in shock after this win, which went through all the rollercoasters of emotions of a basketball season in a 48-minute game. Relive Saturday's win with these top reactions.

What a gutty win by the Thunder. Far from perfect. Not beautiful. But it was a win.

Thunder with wins over the Lakers, Warriors (2x), Suns, Cavs (2X) and Mavericks. These are the losses. They have the best win-loss profile in the league. pic.twitter.com/3AV8WmNQJf

A Mavericks-Thunder series would be something we'd remember for a LONG time. Really hoping for it.

I can’t believe the Thunder survived this.

Obviously you would rather just have the sure win where they don’t blow a lead, but hopefully this can be a cautionary tale that they can learn from about not taking their foot off the gas.
The Oklahoma City Thunder will have until Wednesday to savor this epic win over the Dallas Mavericks. A light start to the month in December sees the OKC Thunder off on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday before playing the Houston Rockets on the road on Wednesday and returning home to host the Warriors on Friday.
