1. Luka Doncic

There is some uncertainty in Dallas as Mark Cuban is selling his majority stake in the team. Luka is one of the best young stars in the league, but the Mavericks missed the playoffs last season. They have won 11 of their first 17 games to begin this year, but a rough patch could have number 77 asking out.

Doncic has made first-team All-NBA four straight years and has proven to be lights out in the playoffs. He led the Mavs to the conference finals in 2022 and averaged 32.5 points per game over his first 28 postseason contests in his career. If the Thunder want someone who will shine when the lights are brightest, Luka Doncic is certainly that man.

Luka would have to request a trade and have the Thunder on his list of preferred destinations. Doncic praised SGA during the 2023 FIBA World Cup, and it would put two of the ten best players in the world on one roster. With OKC’s young talent around them, the Thunder would instantly become a title contender.

Will the Oklahoma City Thunder use their draft capital to land a star? Shai Gilgeous-Alexander should be recruiting the best players in the world to make it a reality.
