Welcome to Views from OKC, Thunderous Intentions’ daily roundup of the best OKC Thunder stories across the web.

New to Views? Glad to have you here, and I hope you’ll make this a daily destination. Well, let’s get started!

The Knickerbockers bring their drama to Oklahoma City

“Since Jan. 1, the Thunder ranks 30th in the NBA in true shooting percentage (52.5), which accounts for teams’ field goal, free throw and 3-point percentages.

Steven Adams is averaging 6.9 offensive rebounds per game in February, No. 1 in the NBA. Utah’s Rudy Gobert is second at 4.9 per game.”

These are two incredible statistics. The first one explains why the Thunder have been getting blown out against the top competition; they simply can’t make enough shots to keep up. Regarding Steven Adams, this is in direct correlation with the Enes Kanter injury. The Big Kiwi is playing more with the second unit and benches don’t tend to employ centers big enough to contain guys as big as Adams. Oh there’s a game? My prediction is Thunder win by 6 in an ugly game: 97-91.

Stop this Cameron Payne hatred right this instant

“75 games. Less than 1000 minutes. Before we go any further, I want to highlight these numbers because THESE are probably the most influential and important numbers when discussing Oklahoma City Thunder guard Cameron Payne.”

Thursday’s game against Cleveland should have served as a reminder to Thunder Nation that Cameron Payne can ball. He went right at the defending champs, scoring a season high 15 points. Two games later he put up his second double-digit scoring night of the season. Payne is finally starting to readjust to game speed, and the shots are starting to fall. But like Mark said. 75 games. Less than 1000 minutes. That’s not enough time to make a career assessment.

Now this is freaking cool. Staff writer Darian Hutchins is doing an entire column on some of the best Thunder dunks of the season. Because this is America he’s employing the people’s opinion. In this contest for instance (we have many more on Twitter) Alex Abrines is the clear winner in my eyes, yet over 50% disagree with me. #democracy

Russell Westbrook is slowly becoming the GOAT of NBA commercials. Everything he is in is like a movie; there’s a story behind it, with a concrete beginning middle and end. This one is interesting. I really want to give it my full review, but I just got an idea for an article. Looks like you’ll have to come back to Thunderous Intentions for my full thoughts!
