It’s the first Friday after the trade deadline! The roster is different, but the Oklahoma City Thunder weekly roundup by Heather Koontz remains as stable as ever!

Oh no, A-Mo

For the rest of the league, the trade deadline may have been pretty uneventful. But for our beloved Oklahoma City Thunder, there was a pretty big shake-up in the roster. In case you missed it, Sam Presti sent Anthony Morrow, Cameron Payne, and Joffrey Lauvergne to Chicago. Who did OKC get in return? A 2018 second round draft pick, Taj Gibson, and Doug McDermott. You may know him as “McBuckets.” For more on the trade, check out this Thunderous Intentions article.

Thunder Host Fan Appreciation Night

On Wednesday night, the OKC Thunder organization hosted its annual season ticket holder fan appreciation party at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. Season tickets holders were treated to swag, free food, and prizes. Additionally, the players were in attendance with both general chat sessions and fan interaction. I was there, and I was literally five feet away from my imaginary husband Steven Adams. I was basically next in line to meet him when he had to leave. So, Steven if you are reading this, please… please right this wrong.

Kanter Can

Enes Kanter returned to the court for full-contact practice on Thursday. Although it hasn’t yet been confirmed if he will play in tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers, it does seem more realistic that he’ll return… just in time to meet his new teammates.

Sharing Is Caring

Thunderous Intentions is a gold mine filled with entertaining, enlightening Oklahoma City Thunder content.

While there are plenty of articles to read and share, here’s this week’s highlight: “Views from OKC: Russell Westbrook Has Won Me Over”

Look, I’m gonna promote anything (positive) about Russell Westbrook. That being said, Thunderous Intentions Site Expert Tony Heim has finally accepted the glory of Westbrook. And, that is truly wroth celebrating.

Mark March 3rd on your calendar for Edition 9 of Heather’s Weekly Roundup. Enjoy your weekend!
