What’s Yours Is Now Mine
Ron Adams and Alvin Gentry
The Golden State Warriors have had undeniable success since firing Jackson last summer. While Kerr deserves a good portion of the credit, his assistants may have just as much to do with the improvement. Adams has previous experience with the Thunder serving as an assistant coach from 2008-to-2010. In the last seven years, Adams has worked with the Thunder, the Bulls, the Celtics and now the Warriors. That’s quite the laundry list of improved teams.
Gentry’s last head coaching experience was for the Phoenix Suns from 2009-to-2013 (Steve Kerr was the general manager of those Suns), and he led a mismatched team to a very respectable 140-131 record.
Tom Thibodeau
Thibs’ time in Chicago sounds like it could be over after the season, and some reports are picking the Bulls’ coach to replace Brooks.
While I understand why fans would be excited for Thibs to bring his success from Chicago to Oklahoma City, he habitually overplays his players, struggles to develop an offensive system and has little postseason success. Does that sound familiar?
