C-. Buckle in folks, we’re going to see a lot of below-average grades today. When Abrines’ shot isn’t falling it’s hard for the rookie to impact the game. His on-ball defense is only one-step behind where it needs to be. Shaun Livingston and Andre Iguodala put the kid on skates a couple of times; he needs to be less jumpy. Abrines did take a nice charge on Iguodala and he had 3 rebounds in his 19 minutes of play. The thing with Abrines is he has shown signs of being JJ Reddick-lite. I hope Billy Donovan keeps running him out, because the motor is high and the shooting ability is out of this world. Repetition will be the key if Abrines is to grow throughout the season.. SG.
