In a game where Russell Westbrook managed to tie the NBA record in triple-doubles for a single season, the OKC Thunder obliterated the Milwaukee Bucks from the get-go, winning by a final scoreline of 110-79.
The Bucks’ only lead came with 9:23 remaining in the first quarter, with the score being 3-2 in favor of the visitors. That lead only stood for 19 seconds, and since then the OKC Thunder didn’t look back.
The first quarter ended with the Thunder taking a 28-20 lead on an Alex Abrines buzzer beater.
The Thunder kept rolling in the second quarter, and were on a 24-6 run by the 9 minute mark of the second quarter.
Abrines was pretty hot in the first and second quarters, shooting 4-of-6 from 3 in 11 minutes. However, after Khris Middleton fell onto him, he sustained a knee injury and didn’t return to the game. According to Royce Young, Abrines suffered from a left knee sprain.
The Thunder, however, kept stretching their lead and were up by 24 at half-time thanks to Russell Westbrook’s 3 pointer with 8 seconds to go.
It was more of the same in the third quarter, with the Thunder just scoring ruthlessly.
