Will Durant play?

The big question heading into tonight is whether Kevin Durant plays. The small forward is nursing an ankle injury and his participation is listed as a “game time decision’. Last season Durant played in just one of the Warriors games at Chesapeake.  Regardless of whether KD suits up or not, expect a shower of boos from the Thunder faithful and a very focused Westbrook tonight.

Sam Presti re-jiggered his roster this offseason precisely for this matchup. To date, OKC is still struggling to find cohesion and flow, but unquestionably beating the Warriors is the clear mandate tonight and this spring.  If I was writing a movie plot this would be the point in the plot where I’d enter the big upset victory – a statement win if you will.  But, this isn’t a movie – it is reality for the OKC Thunder who sit two games below .500.

With that, let’s break down the match with a view to what the OKC Thunder need to do in order to capture the victory and provide Oklahomans with an additional reason to celebrate this Thanksgiving.
