A sweet treat, a desert big and an exiled big man are priority targets for the OKC Thunder to aggressively pursue to fill holes in their lopsided roster.

Despite a star-studded line-up, the OKC Thunder sit 9-12 on the season. While the team continues to search for consistency, Oklahoma City must continue to upgrade its roster if it hopes to contend this season.

At the minute, the OKC Thunder aren’t even close to contending. After Thunder GM Sam Presti’s offseason wizardry formed the OK3, Oklahoma City have been wildly inconsistent. Although many anticipated teething issues placing three stars together, a 9-12 start to the season is not what fans envisioned. Bad habits, inconsistent rotations and lack of ball movement are huge issues.

But a lopsided roster doesn’t help.

Oklahoma City’s lack of bench scoring and rebounding are two primary issues that need to be addressed. Jerami Grant, Josh Huestis, Terrence Ferguson and Alex Abrines are nice players in their own rights but none can score. Rookie Dakari Johnson is a big center who fouls like a trooper and Nick Collison is a shell of his former self. OKC run into issues when Steven Adams gets in foul trouble.

With teams ravaged by injury on the verge of rebuilding or players seeking buyout opportunities, OKC must keep a close eye on player availability.
