An impressive win streak:

The last time the Houston Rockets lost it was January 26th in New Orleans. The same night DeMarcus Cousins tore his Achilles heel. Since then the Rockets have strung together 15 consecutive victories.

Not to say long win streaks aren’t all impressive, but this one by the Rockets ranks as very  impressive. Eight of the wins came on the road, eight are current playoff seeds with five of those squads holding home court seeds at the time they played (Cavaliers, Spurs, Wolves x 2, Celtics).

Moreover, Houston was one of only two teams (Portland) who defeated the Jazz amid their own 15 wins. And, the Rockets win over the Nuggets sandwiched their seven wins.

Like Cousins, Jimmy Butler suffered his major injury when facing the Rockets. Obviously these injuries are entirely coincidence, yet they also speak to opponent’s pressing physically in these matches.

The average win margin during the streak is 12.6 points with the largest being the 32 point spread over the pre-trade Cavaliers. Only two teams have been within five points (Nuggets/Celtics) with the three point win margin over Boston being the closest any opponent came.
