OKC Thunder Starting Rotation
Russell Westbrook recorded his 100th triple-double of his career. with a 32-12-12 statline. You read that right. This guy has made triple-doubles seem routine – its absurd. Russell, we don’t appreciate you enough. Thanks for being you.
Having said all that, here is Russell Westbrook’s most outstanding highlight from this game.
Have you ever seen anything like that?
This is the Corey Brewer that Thunder fans should expect for the rest of the year. He provided energy, (7-2-4, 2 blocks, 3 steals) and even made a three. While Brewer’s performance in his first three games is probably not sustainable, he could be this. This could be enough.
I for “Incomplete.”
Paul George had a solid first half, and looked primed to really explode. His fall in the third quarter, however, derailed all of that. Per ESPN’s Royce Young, PG expects to be fine. Everybody exhale.
Carmelo Anthony (21 points on 15 shots) turned back the clock a little in this one. He had a rare and-1 in the first quarter (a rare free-throw, for that matter), and blocked two shots by Tyler Cavanaugh in a single possession.
Melo was also the spark that lit the Thunder’s fireworks in the third quarter, hitting four threes in the period. He’s been in a bit of a slump lately. If he can break out, it will be a big deal for OKC.
Dakari played himself off the court almost immediately. So, enough said.
