NBA Draft
AUSTIN, TX – NOVEMBER 29: Kevin Hervey #25 of the Texas-Arlington Mavericks drives around James Banks #4 of the Texas Longhorns at the Frank Erwin Center on November 29, 2016 in Austin, Texas. (Photo by Chris Covatta/Getty Images) /

#37 Kevin Hervey, Forward

Hervey was the second selection that Sam Presti made in this years NBA Draft. From the University of Texas-Arlington, the 6’7 wing put up some good numbers. Hervey posted 20-points-per-game in his senior campaign. He did it on 44-percent shooting from the field. From distance, that number drops to 33-percent.

The issue for the small forward is his health. He tore his left ACL in his second year at Arlington and then when he returned tore his right ACL. So, like Jabari Parker Hervey will need to overcome concerns he’ll be able to stay healthy.

Still, Hervey is a player who should excel in OKC because he fits seamlessly into a free flowing offense. Watch in Vegas to see if OKC utilize him trailing on plays for stop and pull up treys.
