Russell Westbrook, along with several of his OKC Thunder teammates, put on a show at the Rico Hines UCLA Run.

Anytime Russell Westbrook steps on the court, he does so with ill intentions. He doesn’t just want to win, he wants to dominate. And that’s exactly what he did over the weekend when he joined his Thunder teammates to dominate pickup games at Rico Hines UCLA Run.

Westbrook was joined by several existing and former OKC Thunder teammates. Those included:  Himdou Diallo, Deonte Burton, Terrance Ferguson, Devon Hall, Bryce Alford, Kyle Singler, Corey Brewer and Daniel Hamilton. Several other NBA players were in the mix as well, including Montreal Harrell, Norman Powell, OG Anunoby, Tyler Ulis, Trevor Ariza and Malachi Richardson.

Unsurprisingly, Westbrook was the standout on the floor. Perhaps playing a bit too hard for Thunder fans’ liking, but as fans all know, Westbrook only has one speed. And it was good to see prospects get after it as well. After all, it can be easy to forget how much better they are than amateurs being constantly compared to NBA players.

While the younger players  displayed their quickness and athleticism, the veterans were also proving they’ve still got it. Corey Brewer and Trevor Ariza both got buckets, driving the lane and finishing through contact.

The exhibition was also particularly interesting to sneaker heads, as Westbrook laced up his newest, unreleased shoes. Westbrook has already released several versions in his “Why Not” collection, but it looks like there’s at least one more still to come.

The all-black body outlined in orange with a grey heel will match well with the OKC Thunder uniforms, while the “RW” logo near the heel gives it a nice personal touch. No details of the name or release date has been released, but they are likely soon to follow.

With the preseason right around the corner, this might be the last time we see Westbrook in pick up games, but even if it was, he put on a great finale.
