Russ obviously doesn’t need much space to get off ridiculous dunks, but when he has space there’s almost a guaranteed viral dunk coming. And that’s exactly what happened right after this play. I don’t know if I’ve ever received as many notifications about a single dunk as I did when this one happened on that fateful night. And it’s easy to see why.
For whatever reason on this play, Westbrook decided to test just how durable the NBA hoops are by seemingly trying to tear one to the ground with a single dunk. As I’ve said before, he’s the angriest dunker in the entire league, and this is just another example of that.
