No. 5: 2013-2014

The 2013-14 Thunder season saw the team win 59-games and that was due to their depth. The Thunder had a bench headlined by a young point guard, Reggie Jackson.

Jackson did have to start 36-games that year in place of Russell Westbrook, but since Russ still logged ten more starts, lets count Reggie as a bench player for this article.

Reggie Jackson, Steven Adams, Andre Roberson, Caron Butler, Perry Jones, Jeremy Lamb, and Derek Fisher made up the Thunder bench with of course Nick Collison playing in 81-games contributing things that do not show up on a stat sheet.

Reggie Jackson averaged 13-points per game with 4-assists to go with it. During his 22-game regular season stint with the Thunder, Caron Butler started draining trey’s. He got the 3-ball to fall at a 44-percent rate. Jeremy Lamb posted 8.5-points per game, stroking the ball from beyond the arch at a 35-percent clip.

Steven Adams and Andre Roberson did not average much in the per game departments but both showed some flashes at their respective crafts. Two eventual key OKC starters littered the Thunder bench.

Derek Fisher played a huge role, gaining minutes in 81-games, and the veteran leadership was needed as the Thunder only got 46-games from Russell Westbrook.

Perry Jones was much hyped, but to little substance.
