Offseason Moves:

Ironically a season ago Sam Presti’s moves took 43 percent of the votes in this category. This season his moves may be more relevant although the OKC Thunder split 10 percent of the vote with the Mavericks and Pacers. LeBron James move to the Lakers likely spurred the 70 percent mark while Kawhi Leonard‘s move to the Raptors registered in GMs mind with 20 percent of the votes.

Most underrated player acquisition:

Since I’ve been in this debate the past few days with the BBoyz I’ll reiterate my take on the Pacers getting slept on. Nice to see them getting some burn among the GMs in East vote and here as well as Tyreke Evans was cited as the most underrated offseason addition (13%).

OKC makes the cut with Dennis Schroder grabbing 10 percent of the vote along with three other players.

Most surprising move of the offseason:

Granted GMs selecting Boogie Cousins move to Golden State as the most unexpected (35%) makes sense. I love this category because it highlights how dialed in GMs are to their counterparts actions. The second highest votes also naturally went to the Kawhi Leonard – DeMar DeRozan trade (29%). But for 19 percent of GMs to state they were surprised Paul George stayed in OKC it speaks to what an amazing job Sam Presti, the OKC Thunder players and community did to retain PG13.
