Creating offense off broken play

In OKC’s most recent outing, the big man had his most impressive offensive sequence this season. Adams corralled an offensive rebound off a Paul George missed three, backed into Houston’s Clint Capela and calmly delivered a beautiful pass to a cutting Grant for the And-1.

Against Cleveland, Adams shows great poise in post after receiving a difficult pass from TFerg. The big man recovered the ball under the attention of three Cavaliers players and found a cutting Ferguson for a poster slam on Rodney Hood.

Passing on the Move

Big men of Adams stature (bruiser types) typically have rough hands and struggle handling the ball on the move. However, the 25 year-old is one of the leagues best rollers to the hoop with a soft touch and handles the ball as well as any big on the run.

In a play against the Celtics, the Brodie runs a high pick and roll with Adams receiving a bounce pass while moving into the quay. The defense collapses and Adams fires a beautiful pass to Grant in the bottom right corner for three.

The corner three is the most desirable 3-point shot in all of basketball (shorter distance). OKC use pick and rolls more than any offensive set and if Adams is able to deliver passes like the one above with regularity, Oklahoma City’s offensive efficiency will increase exponentially.

With the Thunder being the NBA’s worst 3-point shooting team, they could use all the help they can get.
