The Topic: Thunder podcast is proud to present this conversation with former OKC Thunder writer and podcast personality, Fred Katz of the Athletic. Enjoy!
They say never meet your heroes, but when we at Topic: Thunder got the chance to host the former Norman Transcript writer, former OKC Thunder podcast personality, and current Washington Wizards beat writer for the Athletic, we just couldn’t pass it up.
We did not regret it!
Honestly, we’d heard him speak on podcasts so much, it was a challenge not to fall back into listening out of habit. Luckily, he was an engaging guest, and a pleasure to talk to!
Fred is currently on the beat for the Washington Wizards – and how lucky that was. With the recent announcement that John Wall would be out for the season and the subsequent rumors that the Wizards would be open for business, this was the perfect time to catch Fred.
