Terrance Ferguson:

Speaking of Ferguson this was by far his best game this season as the wingman married his ever improving defense with a sniper like perimeter shot which rarely failed on this evening. Ferguson landed seven of his 10 attempted triples (a new career high for him).

His previous best came last season versus the Lakers when he hit six treys and also recorded his career high in points (24) with tonight marking his highest scoring game of this season (21 points) and second best of his career.

Not just connecting on the triples but the timeliness of the 3-ball has to be noted as well. Ferguson hit two triples at game end (one with at 43.5 seconds remaining) to tie the game at 126. This was the fourth triple made in the final five minutes by the Thunder (Ferguson, Schroder, Grant, and Ferguson to keep them in the game).

Terrance Ferguson continues to impress and while the hope was he would provide solid defense and the occasional scoring option his recent play is creating an argument to get him more touches.

Last season there was the standout game in LA, but this is now back to back games where Ferguson’s three ball is falling and eight times this season Ferguson has hit at least two triples (four times with more than two).

In his last two games, he is 11 of 14 from deep. Hot – indeed!
