A promising season for Indy hit hard by Dipo’s injury:

Witnessing Oladipo’s leg give out under him as he attempted to chase down Pascal Siakam this week left me feeling gutted. No, he’s not on the Thunder any longer nor on my home town Raptors, but he was a player all fans couldn’t help but root for.

I can’t tell you how many Thunder fans have messaged me with notes of how happy they were for his success and that of the Pacers. As Dipo sat on the Fieldhouse hardwood Wednesday evening, my phone blew up with messages of shock and disbelief at what just occurred.

At first, I thought Dipo had suffered the same injury as Andre Roberson, as it turns out it was his quad tendon that ruptured. Players who’ve experienced the same fate are Charles Barkley who was 36 when it happened to him.

A better example would be Tony Parker and granted he’s much older but his return to the court has to give Victor inspiration. Parker returned approximately seven months after his injury but it took almost two years for him to fully recover.
