Nene Hilario:

Salary:

2018-19 – $3,651,480
2019-20 – $3,825,360

As per spotrac.

Let’s be honest there aren’t many assets to pull from out of the Rockets roster. We know none of James Harden, Chris Paul, Eric Gordon or Clint Capela are moving. Dive in deeper to their rotation and you’ll quickly understand why they struggle to find scoring, playmakers and defenders outside that quartet.

One player who does offer tangible tools albeit in a reserve role is Nene Hilario. His production is rather meager with 3.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and less than one (0.7) assists.

On the season he has dealt with injury appearing in only 26 games.

Gerald Green:

Salary:
2018-19 – $2,393,887

As per spotrac.

As for Green, he’s known as a streaky shooter and a player who’ll vacillate between being focused and one who causes conflict for his teammates on and off the court. In Houston, things have gone relatively smoothly, but let’s not forget who was right up front last season at Staples looking to get involved in that situation.

Ironically, the player from the Clippers who was most vocal now (Austin Rivers) now plays with Paul and Green.

On the season Green is averaging 9.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 0.6 assists. He hits from the perimeter with a 34.9 percent efficiency.

The issue with Green is he doesn’t fit the Thunder mode of being a solid defender. His negative -3.3 defensive box score speaks to that fact.
