More from Thunder News

Since his 2013-14 breakout season (before his injury), he has experienced increasingly higher points per game averages. The lone exception was last season, although that’s understandable given George was transitioning into a new team and dealing with copious ailments.

This season George is back to improving as he averages career highs in points (28.0) rebounds (7.9), steals (2.3), free throw attempts (6.8), three points attempts and makes. He is averaging his best true shooting percentage ever (59.4 percent) while playing his best offensive basketball (+5.2 offensive BPM) for the OKC Thunder.

Just last night he posted his third career triple-double (47 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists). And, George was the teammate who hit the shot to give his superstar running mate Russell Westbrook his 10th assist to secure the history setting tenth consecutive triple-double.
