Deandre Ayton:

Center, Phoenix Suns: 16.3 points, 2.1 assists, 10.6 rebounds, 0.8 steals, 0.9 blocks.

In 46 of his 53 games, the rookie has registered double-figure scoring including 17 occasions where he scored 20 or more points. In 31 games Deandre Ayton has also delivered double-digit rebound efforts. His highlight game came versus the Denver Nuggets when Ayton produced a stat line of  33 points, 14 rebounds (with a jaw dropping 10 offensive boards), an assist and four steals.

If it weren’t for a certain Slovenian rookie stud we might be discussing how easily Ayton has transitioned into his professional career. His steady improvement is impressive and he’s silenced many of the critics who weren’t sure he’d integrate as quickly or as profoundly as he has.

Although most will expect Doncic to be the player who garners the highlights in the match, don’t be surprised if the two work together to get Ayton plenty of scoring opportunities.
