AT&T Slam Dunk:

The final event of the evening is the Slam Dunk which features four players. This is the 34th occasion of this event has taken place and the 19th anniversary of when North Carolina Tar Heels and at the time Toronto Raptors player Vince Carter altered the event for years to come.

Personally, other than Michael Jordan vs. Dominique Wilkins and Vince Carter’s historic night my favorite recent running of the event occurred in Toronto when Zach LaVine and Aaron Gordon plus his Orlando Magic mascot went head to head.

For the OKC Thunder other than the big event this is the only other one which will feature one of our team members. Some have said perhaps Terrance Ferguson should’ve been in the mix, but they likely haven’t seen enough of Diallo to recognize his hops and the sheer height he achieves.

Most will earmark Smith as the pre-event favorite, but I think Diallo and Bridges will be the two players most likely to throw down the jaw dropping dunk.

Each participant will get two dunks in round one with the highest two cumulative scores moving on to the final round where they’ll complete two more dunks.

Miles Bridges, small forward, Charlotte Hornets

John Collins, power forward, Atlanta Hawks

Hamidou Diallo, shooting guard, OKC Thunder

Dennis Smith Jr., point guard, New York Knicks
