Superior shooting

The OKC Thunder attempted 44 3-point shots, although it was a double-OT affair, 44 is a lot of perimeter shots for Oklahoma City. However, they made 18 of their 44 treys, good for 40.9 percent.

This was the fifth occurrence in Thunder history, in which OKC has attempted 40 or more treys and connected on a 40 percent or better clip. Here’s the kicker Thunder Nation, three of the five games have occurred during the 2018-19 campaign.

Oklahoma City has not joined the ranks of elite shooting teams just yet. The Warriors and the Rockets have both accomplished the same feat seven times this season. Therefore, OKC still has work to do, before positioning themselves in the truly elite shooting category.

However, shooting 41.2 percent from beyond the arc, the second-best mark in the NBA since January 5 is a large step in the right direction.
