OKC Thunder: TI editor power rankings week 17 – At last, the break
If the Suns want to follow the Kings example it’s imperative they add their point guard. Phoenix has their own draft pick and the Bucks first round pick (with protections) and kept those through the trade deadline while also adding a valuable talent in Tyler Johnson.
With news the Grizzlies are keen to move on from the Marc Gasol and Mike Conley era it may well be time to pony up with their picks and shoot for a proven point guard instead of chancing it this summer.
The draft isn’t chock full of guards so this seems like the Suns better bet. In the interim, they continue to lose to keep their options open in case they do land that top pick. Players like Zion Williamson aren’t available every year so they may have to measure what they deem to be more valuable at this stage.
