The Suns enter week 20 of gameplay on a 17 game losing streak. In comparison, their counterparts like the Hawks and Bulls are demonstrating glimpses of what is in store in the future. Even the Knicks stopped the bleeding with three wins in four games while showcasing their trio of youngsters.

There are highlights to point to such as Deandre Ayton averaging a double-double in his rookie season and Devin Booker’s continual growth. Yet, the most delightful surprise has been T.J. Warren. Repeatedly last season I recall analysts referencing his stellar defense and ability to score, but citing his abysmal 22.2 percent perimeter efficiency on 1.4 attempts. Not only did Warren commit himself to improve in this area but he’s shooting three times as many (4.2) and connecting at a 42.8 percent rate.
