NBA Power Rankings: Health the great intangible for squads like OKC Thunder

Prior to this recent debacle, Anthony Davis was predominantly considered a good guy. No nonsense, no drama, likable and a top three to five talent depending on who you ask.

But, the manner in which he’s dealt with his situation is deplorable. Davis probably could’ve rebounded from trying to bully the Pels into trading him early and even his Dad’s ‘Celtics, Ainge rant’. But, his comments at and post the All-Star weekend made the situation worse.

Although time heals wounds, I’ve lost respect for Davis. Conversely, I’ve gained a whole new appreciation for Jrue Holiday and the classy manner in how he’s handled everything.

In the interim Davis has contradicted himself and via his actions caused at minimum three different franchises turmoil post deadline (Pelicans, Lakers, Celtics). Again, I don’t think Davis is very talkative, in your face star. He simply bought into LeBron James and Rich Paul’s direction and is paying the price for it. The question is how long it will take for fans (even those outside New Orleans) to forgive him.
