The Pistons entered this week of action having posted a 10-3 record since the All-Star break. It is no secret I haven’t bought into the hype and I’ll freely do so if the postseason version of the Pistons wins more than a single game. Diving into the above 13 games, for example, offers six lottery teams, several games won by three points or less and more than a few friendly whistles – (you’ll have to trust me on that).
The point is this Pistons squad just haven’t performed consistently for a long enough period to shift my thinking. That, and losing consecutive games by 28 and 34 points is hard to overlook.
