14-62. Previous: 30th. New York Knicks. 30. team. 27.

Following up on the question I ended this team’s ranking with last week —- how likely are free agents to seek the Knicks as a landing spot? Should Knicks General Manager Scott Perry expect his phone to light up with calls from free agents look for meetings?

A glance back through the modern era doesn’t highlight any “major superstars” selecting the Knicks. The closest was Amare Stoudemire and he was on the downside of his career. Carmelo Anthony arrived closer to his prime, but he was traded to New York.

In fact, the current prowess and standing of the Nuggets could be intrinsically linked to the Melo trade and the rollout of the assets and accumulation of talent from the Melo trade while in direct contrast the Knicks have sputtered in oblivion.
