Results from Tuesday, April 9 slate of games:

Of the 11 games on the slate Tuesday only six had a direct effect on the playoff seeds. Although the Miami Heat won, by virtue of the Pistons winning the Heat were eliminated from contention for that eighth seed.

Sadly we won’t get to see one more playoff game from Dwyane Wade, but one of my all-time favorite shooting guards sure seems content to be leaving on his own terms. In an interesting twist, the Heat will close out their season in Brooklyn where they’ll now attempt to play spoiler and affect where the Nets finish the season.

Here are the results from the games which factored in seeding from Tuesday:

  • Charlotte Hornets 124 –  Cleveland Cavaliers  97
  • Memphis Grizzlies 93 –  Detroit Pistons 100
  • Philadelphia 76ers  99 – Miami Heat 122
  •  Denver Nuggets 108 – Utah Jazz 118
  • Houston Rockets 111 – OKC Thunder 112
  • Portland Trail Blazers 104 – LA Lakers 101
