89. . G/F. Tennessee. Admiral Schofield. 30. player

Although it’s unlikely the Bucks lose out on re-signing Khris Middleton this offseason it wouldn’t hurt to have a little insurance just in case. If not, it would allow the team to add depth at the wing where Tony Snell seems to have worn out his welcome.

Schofield lands all over the map on most mock drafts but there are palpable numbers which jump off the page when considering how he could affect a squad right out of the gate. He’s 6’10”,  241 pounds and on first glance looks more like he should be climbing into a MMA ring than lacing them up on the hardwood.

But….. BUT … then you look at his perimeter shooting effectiveness and say to yourself – wait– what? Schofield connects on 41.8 percent from deep on 4.8 attempts. This is when you start to envision the wing playing on Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s squad and letting fly from deep and hear the announcers call out the Admiral and Freak bury the opposition again.

Moreover, he can bully his way to the rim, catch lobs for dunks, rebounds well is an excellent defender and just plays with overall energy. The ONLY check box which remains empty is his poor mid-range shooting, which again speaks to why he’s the perfect fit in Milwaukee. Bottom line I just couldn’t leave him off my top 30.

He may fall off our board into the second round, but in this initial mock I simply couldn’t cut him for some of the other higher ranked players.
