DIAW!

A player does not have to be an All-Star or a superstar to leave a lasting legacy on the league. Boris Diaw is a great example of such. When he arrived in San Antonio, it was evident this was his final chance to resurrect his career.

When he joined the Spurs via trade during the 2011-12 season, Diaw quickly became a modern stretch four. For the duration of his tenure in San Antonio Diaw shot 36.7 percent from beyond the arc and 54.8 percent from 2-point territory.

Diaw was a vital cog during the Spurs 2014 NBA title run. Thunder Nation will surely remember BD’s best game throughout San Antonio’s playoff quest. It was in the closeout Game 6, inside the Peake. Diaw scored a team-high 26 points as the Spurs crushed the Thunder’s dreams of returning to the Finals.
