The Suns started NBA Draft day by just simply giving away TJ Warren. The Suns packaged the very productive role player, TJ Warren and the 32nd pick to the Indiana Pacers for cash considerations. The Suns wanted out from under Warren’s contract which has three years remaining and 35 million dollars owed to him on his original four-year extension.

The Suns then traded down in the NBA Draft coming off of the sixth overall pick, giving it instead to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Phoenix Suns, who have desperately needed a point guard to pair with the face of the franchise Devin Booker, traded out of position to draft Coby White.

Instead, the Suns reached to grab a wing out of North Carolina University, Cameron Johnson. Johnson was pegged to go in the low teens to mid-twenties. instead, the Suns made him a lottery pick.

Thunder should take a long hard look at Cameron Johnson. light. Related Story

The Suns also got Dario Saric.

The Celtics are discussing trading the rights to Ty Jerome to the Suns, a prospect that I am not in love with nor think he has very many NBA skillsets.

The Suns look like losers now, and the same old Suns, but on June 30th when NBA Free Agency opens, if they spend their cap space on DeAngelo Russell, things could look different. But it’s the Suns, that probably will not happen.
