The San Antonio Spurs continue to be one of the most consistent organizations in all of sport.

The Spurs were able to somehow capture the seventh seed in the tough Western Conference a year ago, and honestly, as so many football fans do with the Patriots every year, I am ready to doubt the Spurs again.

The Los Angeles Lakers, with or without Kawhi are going to make the Western Conference playoffs. Someone has to leave the playoff picture to make that happen. Despite the Spurs not having a losing season since before some of our readers were born, I just do not have faith in this roster, no matter how amazing of a coach Gregg Popovich is, to navigate their way through the Western Conference.

The only real addition San Antonio has made is the addition of DeMarre Carroll, and while he is a fine player, he is not enough to pair with DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge to keep up with the arms race in the West.

That is why I will say, on July 2nd, the Spurs will miss the playoffs in the 2019-20 season.
