Beverley talks Houston backcourt fit, Collison honors Brodie, OKC thanks Westbrook via billboards

One time for the Brodie
It is difficult to gauge who is more beloved in Oklahoma City, Russ or Mr. Thunder? Perhaps it’s fair to say the duo is equally adored. Therefore, when Collison acknowledged Westbrook with an Instagram post honoring the Westbrook era, it was not one bit surprising. In true Mr. Thunder fashion, the post was all class.
Andre Roberson, Anthony Morrow, Lesley McCaslin, and Westbrook himself all commented on Nick’s post.
Bring out the billboards
Local Oklahoma City advertising company Lamar put up four different ads thanking Westbrook on various electric billboards around town. The Billboards read “Westbrook Forever in Our Hearts”, OKC love’s Russ (a red heart replaces the word love), “Love Russ” (this time an orange heart is displayed), and lastly “Thank you Russ”.
Billboards have become standard when it comes to recruiting players in the NBA. Lamar utilizing billboards to thank Westbrook is a gesture that will likely start a trend throughout the entire league.
