Dennis Schroder

Dennis Schroder was up-and-down all season for the Thunder.

If he played the way people talk about him, he’d be the best backup point guard in the league, but he isn’t.

Last season with the Thunder, Schroder had 21 games with 20 or more points. While that seems good for a bench player, keep in mind he also had 14 games where he scored between 0-9 points.

Sure, I can admit that a few times throughout the season it was Schroder that was the deciding factor in a win, but on the other hand, he was also responsible for plenty of losses with his inefficient shooting and lackluster defense.

With Schroder once again seemingly headed towards a bench role, you have to wonder if he has *any* value across the league, as I’m sure the Thunder would love to deal him since Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the new starting guard.

Alas, Schroder had a handful of very good games last season, his best being a 32 point explosion versus the Golden State Warriors in a blowout win for the Thunder.
