While there is obvious natural chemistry between Gilgeous-Alexander and CP3 the experiment with the three guards has some obvious flaws. Time may adjust the rhythm and flow of the unit but as is the trio aren’t functioning in a manner where all can succeed.

Paul is not at his best standing around and the ideal situation would be for the Thunder to have SGA capitalize on the knowledge of the games best active passer while he’s still in OKC. The veteran point guard clocked in with a serviceable 17 minutes at times displaying the scrappiness he is famous for.

The kinks, however, were evident primarily in the timing and are things that will come with familiarity. Five turnovers are definitely not indicative of a prototypical Paul offering and while a few balls whistled by Adams and his other teammate’s hands it doesn’t take much imagination to envision those balls landing right on their fingertips in the near future.
