Sacramento Kings:

Offense: (107.2)  21st
Defense: (110.2) 18th
Net: (minus-3.0) 22nd

Games Week 13 (0-3): Lost vs. Magic: 112-114, Mavericks: 123-127, Jazz: 101-123
Games Week 14 (3 games): Mon vs. Heat | Weds vs Pistons | Fri vs. Bulls

Another rough week for the Kings who battled to stay in their matches versus the Magic and Mavericks and almost got the upsets. By week’s end though facing the Jazz they got blown out.

Sacramento was among the teams involved in trade action this week as they sent Trevor Ariza, Wenyen Gabriel and Caleb Swanigan to Portland in exchange for Kent Bazemore Anthony Tolliver and two second-round draft picks.

Ariza never seemed to integrate with the Kings but this move is still somewhat puzzling. The Kings do need more wings so presumably, this was about adding a wing like Bazemore who will offer more defensive assistance to a club in desperate need of that.

Week 14 offers up a test versus the Heat although they haven’t feasted on the road as well as two beatable East squads in the Pistons and Bulls. The Kings need to use the home court advantage and shift an 0-3 week 13 into a 3-0 week 14 — let’s see how they do.
