Zach LaVine continues to post incredible stats in his push to be included in the All-Star Game which takes place in Chicago this season. He capped his week with a 44 point, 10 rebound, eight assist effort and averaged 28.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and three assists through week 14.

On the opposing side, Lauri Markkanen was stuck in a shooting slump and now perhaps we know why as the team announced he was battling through various injuries. Initially, Markkanen dealt with an oblique issue and then a sprained ankle.

However, his newest injury is a stress reaction in his pelvis and the Bulls are electing to shut him down for four to six weeks so he can heal properly.

The Bulls squad on a whole is mired in injury. Eight players are either out or playing while nursing injuries. This new setback of Markkanen exacerbates the Bulls frontcourt issues as Daniel Gafford (thumb), Otto Porter (broken foot) and Wendell Carter Jr. (ankle) are all out until mid to late February.
