San Antonio Spurs:

Offense: (111.4)  11th
Defense: (111.5) 21st
Net: (minus -0.0) 14th

Results Week 15: (2-1) Won vs. Jazz: 127-120, Hornets: 114-90, Lost vs. Bulls 109-110
Games Week 16: (4 games) Mon at Clippers | Tues at Lakers | Thurs at Blazers | Sat at Kings

The Spurs delivered a solid showing in week 15 particularly with the victory over the Jazz, but they fell to a Bulls team by one point. Those are the types of games they simply can’t afford to lose.

Entering trade deadline week it’s highly unlikely they’ll make any moves as it’s just not in their typical style. The last time they made a deadline deal it was 2013-14. In fact, if you go all the way back to 1989-90 the Spurs have made only eight moves at the deadline and three of those weren’t even a trade (waived, released and recalled a G-League player).

This coming week is the start of the annual Rodeo Trip with some scary teams on the itinerary. Their schedule in February on a whole is brutal.

The test will be if the Spurs can continue to defeat top tier clubs and figure out a way to stop losing to teams they should defeat which has always been a cornerstone of this franchise until this season.
