Los Angeles Lakers. 2. team. 20. . 37-11. Previous: 2nd

Los Angeles Lakers:

Offense: (112.8) 4th
Defense: (105.9) tied 5th
Net: (plus +7.0)  3rd

Results Week 15: (1-1) Tues vs. Clippers (canceled) Won vs. Kings: 129-113, Lost vs. Blazers: 119-127
Games Week 16: (3 games) Tues vs Spurs | Thurs vs Rockets | Sat at Warriors

Clearly an emotional week for the Lakers who canceled the Tuesday match versus the Clippers as the players, franchise, city, and world dealt with the gut punch of losing Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven others in the helicopter crash of a week ago Sunday.

It still doesn’t seem real and I’m all the way on the opposite coast.

The Lakers picked up game action on Friday, almost a week after their last game. While they went through the motions the emotional Kobe tribute took a toll and the team never look quite right.

Anthony Davis had a huge game but it wasn’t enough to stop the hottest player in the league at the moment (Damian Lillard).

It was almost a blessing their next game though on a back-to-back was away from the Staples Center. They collected the win in that outing and looked more in sync.

Although the Lakers slipped slightly in the big three categories they retain the second seed in the ranking list.
