An interesting few days for Kyrie Irving who was voted in as Vice President of the Players Association. Then a few days later the Nets announced Irving had re-injured his shoulder (he was still out healing from a knee injury) and would be out indefinitely.

In nine seasons as a pro only once has he played a season where he missed less than 10 games. In three of those seasons, he played 71, 72 and 75 games.

However, in the last three seasons, he’s missed 22, 15 and 33 games to date this season. The question is has he reached the stage where he’s earned the “injury prone” tag?

Most players don’t get more resilient as they age so that is a fair question.

Moving forward, the Nets have played their best ball without him on the court so that raises another red flag. If you’re Sean Marks shoes would you consider sticking with Caris LeVert (another injury prone player) and Spencer Dinwiddie to trade Irving now?

You have to think he has to at least consider it.
