Players to watch

There are currently only two players on the Pistons roster who have the ability to hurt you on a regular basis. Unfortunately for the Pistons, both of these players are questionable through injury. This has actually been the story of the Pistons season.

Derrick Rose has been a revelation this season. He has played 50 games, starting only 15 of them. He started the year on a minutes restriction due to various injuries and still has been able to average the fourth most points off the bench this season.

His ability to penetrate into the paint and create off the dribble is incredible. He is averaging 18.1 points per game. He is also very good at creating for others, averaging 5.6 assists per game. The fact that both of these are team highs highlights the importance of Rose for the Pistons.

The other player who has been incredible for the Pistons this season is Christian Wood. Previously Wood has been known for his ability to dunk the ball from anywhere near and in the key. He has added range to his game, shooting 37.2 percent from deep this season.

Wood is averaging 12.0 points per game this season, shooting an impressive 55.1 percent from the floor. On top of this, Wood is averaging 6.1 rebounds a game, a number that will surely go up with Drummond no longer being on the team.
