Noel serves up two-way effort versus Milwaukee:
More from Thunderous Intentions
- Stealing one player from every Southwest Division team for the OKC Thunder
- Should the OKC Thunder chase after a disgruntled hometown hero?
- 3 OKC Thunder players who can step up in Aleksej Pokusevski’s absence
- Aleksej Pokusevski sidelined approximately 6 weeks with ankle injury
- Damian Lillard does not fit with the OKC Thunder
Another one of Noel’s best games this season was against the Greek Freak and the Milwaukee Bucks on November 10th.
Without Adams in the game Noel was assertive, finding his teammates and giving them opportunities as well as blocking shots, setting screens and showing his range. Not only was he dunking but he was also making buckets from near the 3-point line.
The center recorded 14 points, a season-high six assists, three rebounds and two blocks. Also shooting 66.7 percent from the floor and 100 percent free-throw shooting.
He showed just how much he can make a difference in multiple facets of the game. This was arguably one of his best two-way performances of the season.
As the year has gone on, we have gotten the chance to see more of why Coach Billy Donovan put his faith in Noel to be the backup center. He is capable of being a starter like many of the bench players on the Thunder.
And it is this strong foundation and next man up mentality that has helped OKC get this far.
