Schroder game-winning steal and layup against Boston:

The last time OKC played was against the Boston Celtics on March 8th. This match is still fresh in the minds of many who watched the incredible action unfold. It was must-see basketball and the intensity of both sides felt like it was a playoffs match.

The Celtics led the Thunder by 18 points at one point in the first half but the Clutch Time Killers didn’t let them win that easy.

With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander out due to a hip injury, it was up to Schroder and Chris Paul to fill the extra scoring void.

They did just that as Schroder put up 27 points, six assists, two rebounds, and two steals. But the most impressive thing he did all night was the brilliant steal and game-winning layup.

Boston was in the lead by one with 13.8 seconds left in the game and just had to inbound the ball. Kemba Walker received the pass but as soon as he had the chance to turn around, the wall of CP3 was right there. Paul trapped Walker and Schroder came in to get the huge steal and put the ball in the basket, giving OKC their 105-104 victory.

For Schroder to be prepared to react and successfully get the layup under pressure was outstanding. The guard saw that Walker didn’t have anywhere to go and backed up his teammate.

It was a tense last few moments but knowing that OKC had the lead and was fighting right to the end made it such a sweet win.

Schroder also contributed to a history-making night as OKC clinched their fifth win of the season after being down by 18, which according to ESPN Stats & Info ties for the most by any NBA team in the last 20 seasons.
